The SPA-1001 is very compact and ideal for home and office use. About the size of a deck of playing cards and weighing less than 80 grams (3 ounces), the SPA-1001 comes with the full slate of advanced features from Sipura Technology's world-class VoIP platform implementation.
The SPA-1001 features one RJ-11 POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) port for connection to existing analog phones, fax machines, PBX and key system communication platforms. The SPA-1001 includes an Ethernet interface for connection to a home or office LAN. The SPA-1001 can be provisioned via software controlled by the service provider or the end user.
Installed by the end user, each SPA-1001 converts voice traffic into data packets for transmission over an IP network. The SPA-1001 can be used in consumer and business IP telephony service applications including full-featured IP Centrex. The SPA delivers clear sounding voice and reliable fax calling through its implementation of internationally recognized standards for voice and data networking.
